Apartment description
Recently, this apartment has been completely renovated by a well known young Argentinean architect, who is known for his contrasts in his design. He managed successfully to combine the original characteristics of the apartment with comfort, luxury and modern styling. The LOEWE flat screen television (with dvd player) and modern sofa make a nice contrast with the original floor tiles and the beautiful wooden beams at the ceiling. The styled SMEG-equipment in the kitchen has been nice completed with characteristic details made from stone and wood.
Out of the kitchen you walk via a separate dinner area and small hall into the living area. Some details will definitely draw your attention. At the front of the living room you will find two lovely balconies with nice wooden entrance. The first balcony gives you a view into a nice narrow street while the other balcony overlooks a typical Gothic square. Even more special is the bathroom. Situated on a higher level, you will feel like a king overlooking the living room and balconies in the hart of Barcelona, whilst taking your bath. The combination of high quality sand grey marble with stainless steel design taps make you feel like visiting a luxurious hotel room, while being in your 'own' apartment in the hart of Barcelona. The bathroom is equipped with a luxurious bath, a separate shower, a sink and also the toilet is situated in this higher level. The apartment is located in the Gothic District, at walking distance of the historical cathedral and area 'El Born' with its friendly, excellent restaurants, tapas bars, arts and designer shops and small boutiques.
The Gothic District is one of the districts of the old part of Barcelona with its narrow and sometimes crowded streets and flavours of the past. In fact the Gothic District is located in the middle of a square shaped by Las Ramblas, the old harbour, the cathedral and the area El Born. Almost all interesting tourist spots are nearby your apartment, like the famous market "Mercado Boquería", the beautiful cathedral with adjacent monastery, the Picasso museum and the beach with less than a 10 minute walking distance. You will find lots of cosey little bars and street musicians, and the streets will be alive until late in the evening. There are very efficient bus and metro connections.
