Apartment description
This luxurious and uniquely apartment was renovated in january 2007: newly renovated wood ceilings, original exposed stone walls, parquet floor and complimented with a 21st century design kitchen. Subtle lighting and a calm atmosphere makes any guest feel the true medieval Barcelona experience. The apartment is located on the 1st floor which leads out to a double balcony onto the quiet gothic street below.
The kitchen has been newly installed and is fully equipped with vitroceramic counter tops, and all the commonplace items like oven, fridge, microwave, pots, pans, coffee machine, fridge etc. The bathroom comprises of a bath/shower unit and is stylishly decorated with mosaic tiling. The whole apartment is fitted with air conditioning (hot/cold) and guests can be entertained by the TV, DVD and stereo. There is 1 bedroom which accommodates two single beds which can be reconfigured to make up a queen sized bed. The living room contains a comfortable double pullout sofabed. And there is a bed for 1 child.
Around the area of the apartment
The Santa Caterina district is located around the market of the same name “El Mercado de Santa Caterina” reformed by the famous architect Enric Miralles and it has become a place of cult for architecture students from all over the world. The city council of Barcelona invests great sums of money in this district because of its great potential and fantastic location between the park “Parque de la Ciutadella” and the Cathedral square “Plaza de la Catedral”.
