Tomatina Festival - August
Over a 100.000 kilos of tomatoes will flood in the village square of Bunyol (approximately 40 km from Valencia).
Acid juices fall over the participants' clothes. Still there is ecstasy of the big tomato fight. Tomatoes are thrown with enthusiasm towards friends and opponents alike, everybody immersed in the Tomatina philosophy.
Each year, on the last Wednesday of August, thousands of people plunge themselves in a tradition that has last for over 60 years. They come from lall parts of the world, just to feel and live through one of the best festivities of the summer.
